Twitter Town Hall in Honor of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD)
Event Hashtag: #NBHAADChat
Date: February 7, 2014
Time: 12:00-1:00 p.m. EST
AIDSVu.org is partnering with the CDC, NAACP and the National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD) Strategic Leadership Council to host a Twitter Town Hall on February 7th in acknowledgement of NBHAAD. This nationwide initiative is recognized every year to raise awareness about the HIV epidemic in the Black community and inspire change. “The Impact of HIV on Our Community” is the theme of this year’s NBHAAD.
To have your voice heard, tweet questions or stories related to HIV and AIDS in the Black community and be sure to include #NBHAADChat. You can follow the questions in two ways: search the hashtag #NBHAADChat or follow live tweets from @AIDSVu, @CDCgov, @NAACP and @NatBlackAIDSDay.
Remember to add the NBHAAD Twitter Town Hall event at 12:00 p.m. on February 7th to your calendar. If you can’t make it, tweet questions beforehand and include hashtag #NBHAADChat.
What is a Twitter Town Hall?
A Twitter Town Hall is an open Twitter conversation on a specific topic, which in this case is HIV/AIDS. The moderator or host helps steer the discussion and ensures that as many questions as possible get answered. Any questions or other tweets related to the Twitter Town Hall should include the event hashtag: #NBHAAD.
