National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day was first observed in 2007. This day is observed on the first day of Spring each year. The 2025 observance is recognized on March 20th.
The theme for 2025 is “Walking in Tradition, Anchored in Culture .” This theme acknowledges the invaluable contribution of Native communities in ending the HIV epidemic, underscoring the significance of Native visibility in national HIV strategies and funding opportunities.
