Each year on March 10, AIDSVu recognizes National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day to help raise awareness and educate people about the impact of HIV on women and girls in the United States. Did you know that 1 in 4 people living with HIV are women? According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, women also account for 1 in 5 new HIV diagnoses. It is critical to continue to educate our communities, prevent future HIV transmissions, and help connect women living with HIV to care and treatment.
