World AIDS Day Toolkit 2024

December 1, 2024, marks the 36th World AIDS Day. This year’s federal theme, “Collective Action: Sustain and Accelerate HIV Progress,” highlights the power of collaboration and reminds us that everyone has a role in ending the HIV epidemic. While we celebrate the progress made, we recognize the need for continued efforts in areas like awareness, prevention, and health equity to ensure essential HIV care, testing, prevention, and treatment services are accessible to everyone in need.

In 2023, there were an estimated 39.9 million people living with HIV/AIDS globally, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). That same year, approximately 630,000 people died from HIV-related causes, and an estimated 1.3 million people acquired HIV.

Join us in recognizing this important day by using the sample social media posts below to increase awareness and inspire action.
