AIDSVu Launches Improved Interactive Mapping Platform

February 22, 2018

As part of AIDSVu’s ongoing efforts to ensure the highest-quality user experience possible, we are excited to announce the launch of a new mapping platform on the AIDSVu site. While the data visualized by AIDSVu will remain the same, visitors will notice changes that improve the user experience and maximize the ability to utilize the website across multiple platforms—such as mobile devices, tablets, and laptops—with minimal variation.

Users will notice an updated navigation section on the left-hand side of the maps and a new way to select one of the 41 city-level maps from the site. On a technical level, we have improved the architecture of the data that underlies the maps, which has significantly reduced load time for the maps.  The updated print function also makes it easier for users to develop custom maps for presentations and inclusion in other materials.

Please take a moment to explore the new maps to see these changes for yourself.  As always, please feel free to contact us if you have questions or suggestions on how we can improve the website.
