National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day 2019

October 14, 2019

In 2016, 65% of all Hispanic/Latinx people living with HIV resided in the 57 jurisdictions targeted by the HHS initiative Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America.

This year’s National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) unites us behind the theme “Living with HIV or Not, We Are Fighting This Together”  encouraging everyone to work together to break the stigma and help to end the HIV epidemic, which still disproportionately affects Hispanic/Latinx people in the United States. AIDSVu also highlights the ongoing need for more inclusive and representative HIV services and has released infographics in both Spanish and English in partnership with the Latino Commission on AIDS.
