World AIDS Day 2021

December 1, 2021

For World AIDS Day 2021, AIDSVu draws attention to the importance of addressing health inequities and highlighting the voices of underserved communities in ending the HIV epidemic.

This year’s World AIDS Day theme “Ending the HIV Epidemic: Equitable Access, Everyone’s Voice” emphasizes the lived experience of communities affected by HIV. Marginalized populations bear the brunt of the HIV epidemic and addressing the persistent inequities that impact these underserved populations is critical to efforts to combat HIV. As we mark 40 years since the first officially reported cases of AIDS, it is more important than ever to come together to meet the needs of our most vulnerable communities.
